ZTE Axon 7 Release Date, Price, Specifications, Features Surface

ZTE has sent out invitations for a launch event that will take place on May 26. The invitation clearly states that it will be unveiling Axon 7 flagship smartphone.

The invitation indicates that the smartphone may be able to deliver impressive audio experience. The first generation ZTE Axon was released last year. Hence, the rumor mill was expecting this device to be called ZTE Axon 2. However, the invitation suggests that the smartphone will launch as Axon 7. This may be an attempt from the company to rival against iPhone 7 smartphones that are to release later this year, Gizmo China reported.

The specifications and the design of the ZTE Axon 7 was revealed in the previous month when the device was certified by TENNA, a certification body from China. It revealed that the smartphone would measure 154 x 77 x 9.8 mm and weigh 175 grams.

The ZTE Axon 7 will be coming with a 5.5-inch display that will support a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixel. Like other flagship smartphones of this year, the Axon 7 will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. Its native storage will be 64 GB.

For photography, it will be equipped with a rear camera of 20-megapixel. The front side will be housing an 8-megapixel shooter. It will arrive preinstalled with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS that will be customized with ZTE’s UI. It will be packed with a massive battery of 3140 mAh.

The ZTE Axon 7 is expected to sport a metallic chassis and the fingerprint scanner will be placed on its rear panel. As far as the appearance of the Axon 7 is concerned, it is expected to appear similar to its predecessor model. Speculations suggest that the Axon 7 will be priced at $599.

The original ZTE Axon features a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen. It is powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 32 GB. It has a rear camera of 13-megapixel and a front-facing camera of 2-megapixel. It is equipped with a 3000 mAh battery.
