In a horrifying incident, a 10-month-old baby got shot in the head in a drive-by shooting on Saturday.

The baby is in a critical condition, and is admitted in the hospital and doctors say, he could survive, detnews.com report said.

The incident took place in Roseville when the baby was apparently sleeping with his mother at around 11 p.m.

Suddenly there were bullets being fired from the window with a caliber handgun, and one of the bullets struck the baby. No one else was injured in the incident.

According to the report, the mother's on and off 27-year-old boyfriend is being looked for in connection to the shooting. The couple is going through a contentious paternity lawsuit, the police said.
