11-Foot-Long Python Attacks Goat And Hides Inside School Bus, Rescued [Watch]
In a spine-chilling incident, forest officials rescued an 11-foot-long python that was found curled up inside the engine of a school bus after reportedly attacking a goat.
The incident took place in the city of Rae Bareli in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. A video of the rescue was shared on Twitter by Indian Forest Officer Susanta Nanda, who in the description called the snake the "most reluctant student."
The video shows the officials pulling the snake with the help of a rope from an opening of the engine inside the bus. Meanwhile, a number of curious people were peeping from the windows to catch a glimpse of the wild constrictor.
The clip then shows the officials successfully removing the snake from the engine as people cheered for them. In the following video, the snake was seen trying to grab a sack brought to contain it.
No children were inside the bus as it was the weekend and the vehicle was parked in a village, NDTV reported.
According to NDTV, residents alerted the officials after seeing the snake attack a goat and inching toward the vehicle. Local media reported that the python was 11 feet long and weighed 80 kilograms.
Twitter users were left wide-eyed seeing the huge snake resting rather casually inside a school bus. "That's scary, especially when found in a school bus," a Twitter user commented. "Frightening," wrote another person. "Scary, esp when found in a school bus," wrote a third.
Some people raised concerns about the snake. "I hope the python was not hurt and was released in the wild?" "Very harsh way of taking out the snake. Hope it's alright," commented another user.
One person even adorably likened the snake to "Kaa" the popular python character in Disney's Jungle Book. "Kaa is too much eager to go to school, Maybe he thinks he will find Mowgli in school," they wrote in the comment.
