Celebrities are humans too, who sometimes get into heated arguments with each other. But some celebrities have a longer list of feuds than others.
While he has a successful career as a rapper and has also forayed into designing, Kanye West is one of the stars who have been in heated situations with other celebrities.
Here is a list of celebrities he has had feuds with.
1. Meek Mill
Kanye West and Meek Mill's feud can be traced back to Kanye accusing Mill of working with the FBI while he was on Drink Champs, a segment that has already been removed from YouTube. In response, Mill freestyled over DJ Khaled's "God Did" instrumental and called out Ye. In the song, he contributed the lyrics, "Make a hundred million dollars and still go get my friends after." He continued rapping, "And that don't go for everybody, just the only ones that bend backwards for me/I will never sell my soul for money, like I'm Kanye."
More recently, Ye has been on the social media platform Clubhouse, where he mentioned Mill and other detractors as part of the backlash he received for wearing a "White Lives Matter" shirt.
"And I put White Lives Matter on a T-shirt," West said. "And they said, you know what let's go get celebrities, let's go get Puff Daddy, let's get Dave Chappelle, let's get Meek Mills. What makes somebody think Meek Mills can say something to me?" he added before laughing.
Mill responded via Twitter, saying, "Never lost my mind for fame or money ... I still have my family ...my people respect me ... I'm freeing people from prison... I'm doing community service all month with children up close and personal."
He added, "I'm chilling wit my son and his friends today.. y'all on clubhouse at 50 lol."
2. Drake
Ye also had a feud with his former friend and collaborator Drake after Pusha-T called out the latter on his single "Infrared," released in 2018. The song was produced by Ye.
"Then, the first album drops," Drake said in a 2018 interview with The Shop, talking about the incident. "And, of course, there's a diss song toward me that you produced, that's talking about writing? I was just there with you as friend helping you, and now you're dissing me. So I'm like, man, this is dark."
Upon the release of Ye's 10th album, "DONDA," his song "Pure Souls" included the lyric, "It's gotta be God's plan / Man, I swear these boys keep playin' / We gon' have to square up then." Fans thought this was a reference to their feud. Drake's shade a few weeks later was included in his "Certified Lover Boy" LP, where he talked about a rapper-designer in "7am On Bridle Path."
Drake even posted a screenshot of an invoice amounting to $100,000 for "promotional assistance and career-reviving" to Ye's label GOOD Music.
3. Pete Davidson
Pete Davidson's feud with Kanye also made social media rounds while the comedian started dating West's ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, in October 2021. In his track "My Life Was Never Eazy," released in January 2022, West wrote the lyrics, "God saved me from the crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson's ass," referencing the car accident he had in 2002. He needed to undergo emergency surgery at the time.
He also seemed to have talked about the relationship more on the "City of Gods" track: "This afternoon, a hundred goons pullin' up to SNL (What?) / When I pull up, it's dead on arrival. They act like they love you, they don't even like you / They throw a party, won't even invite you / I seen the same thing happen to Michael / You Black and you rich, they sayin' you psycho (What?), it's like a cycle."
Rumors about Kim and Pete dating started when they shared an on-screen kiss on "SNL" in October 2021.
4. Kim Kardashian
While Pete has kept silent about West's quips early in his relationship with Kim, Kardashian was more vocal on "The Kardashians" about the "exhausting" "back and forth" she had with West on social media.
Talking to her sisters Khloe and Kendall on the show, she said, "Today, I'm just exhausted. Kanye posted that 'I can't see the kids,' and I'm like, 'You were here this morning. Stop with this narrative.' I can't take it anymore. But then I don't want to go back and forth on the internet."
Khloe has also been publicly involved in the online feud, saying that Ye was gaslighting Kim.
With all the bad blood between the former couple, they have opted to communicate only through their assistants.
5. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift and Kanye West's infamous feud started when the rapper interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards. Swift won Best Female Video, to which West reacted, "Beyonce had one of the best music videos of all time."
In 2019, ten years after the incident, Van Toffler, Viacom president at the time, recalled seeing Taylor and her mother, and Beyonce crying backstage. This inspired an idea to turn the arc around.
Beyonce later brought back Swift on stage. "I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny's Child, and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life," she said. "So, I'd like for Taylor to come out and have her moment."
West also sang about how he "made that b---h famous" in 2016, which reignited their feud.
6. Jay-Z
Jay-Z and West had a good relationship for years, with the former being a mentor for the latter. However, their falling out happened in the aftermath of the MTA VMA incident with Taylor Swift.
They have referenced each other in their tracks, with Jay-Z calling out Kanye in his 2017 album "4:44." West ended up removing his entire discography from Jay-Z's Tidal music streaming platform.
7. Ray J
Another of Kim's exes, Ray J, has also been the subject of diss tracks from the rapper. In 2016, Ye's track "One Wish" name-dropped Ray J: "I bet me and Ray J would be friends if we didn't like the same bitch / Yeah, he might have hit it first, only problem is I'm rich."
Ray J is the other half in the infamous Kim Kardashian sex tape that leaked five years after its recording in 2002.
8. Justin Timberlake
Kanye also name-dropped another artist, this time at the 2015 MTV VMAs. Talking about his past encounter at the Grammy's, he said, "The contradiction is that I do fight for artists but in that fight, somehow, was disrespectful to artists."
He added, "I didn't know how to say the right thing, the perfect thing, I sat at the GRAMMYs and saw Justin Timberlake and Cee-Lo Green lose. Gnarls Barkley and the FutureSex/LoveSound album, and bro, Justin, I'm not trying to put you on blast, but I saw that man in tears, bro. And I was thinking he deserved to win Album Of the Year. And the small box that we are of entertainers of the evening, how could you explain that?"
To this, Timberlake's joking reply was: "Kanye is so cute, y'all."
9. Jimmy Kimmel
Kanye had a feud with Jimmy Kimmel in 2013, with the details unfolding via Twitter. Kimmel spoofed West's BBC interview, where he claimed to be the "biggest" rock star.
West tweeted his reaction to the spoof, "Jimmy Kimmel is out of line to try and spoof in any way the first piece of honest media in years."
Talking about the Twitter feud, Kimmel said to GQ in 2019: "I live for moments like that. When I got in a Twitter battle with Kanye, I was so happy."
He added, "My wife makes fun of me. She's like, 'You are so happy right now.' I'm absolutely beaming. I feel very confident in a situation like that."
10. Deadmau5
Kanye also had a heated Twitter feud with DJ Deadmau5 after the rapper shared a snap of a link to Deadmau5's editing software Serum on the file-sharing site Pirate Bay.
"What the f--- @kanyewest ... Can't afford serum?" the DJ tweeted in 2016. "Let's start a Kickstarter to help @kanyewest afford a copy of Serum. ... He needs a small loan of 200$ #prayforyeezy."
Replying to Deadmau5, West said, "Do you do birthday parties?? My daughter loves Minnie mouse."
11. Kid Cudi
In an already-deleted Instagram post, West said Kid Cudi did not want to appear on his album "Donda 2" because he was friends with "you know who," seemingly referring to Pete Davidson, who was dating Kim Kardashian at the time.
"Too bad I don't wanna be on [your] album [you] f—in dinosaur hahaha," Cudi replied in the comments. "Everyone knows I've been the best thing about [your] albums since I met [you]. Ima pray for [you] brother."
Cudi also took the conversation to Twitter, saying West was "flipping the script." "We talked weeks ago about this. You're whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain't no friend. BYE."
To reaffirm his decision that he would no longer work with West, Cudi announced a few months later: "Hey! So I know some of you heard about the song I got w Pusha. I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye. I am not cool w that man."
"He's not my friend, and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz that's my guy. This is the last song [you] will hear me on w Kanye -Scott." Pusha's album was released in April 2022.
Cudi also name-dropped West's feud with Drake in a 2022 interview with Esquire. "With all due respect, I'm not Drake, who's about to take a picture with him next week and be friends again, and their beef is squashed. That's not me," he told the magazine. "What I say, I mean. I will be done with you. It's gonna take a motherf–king miracle for me and that man to be friends again. I don't see it happening. He gon' have to become a monk."
12. Corey Gamble
Another Kardashian-related feud happened between West and Kris Jenner's boyfriend, Corey Gamble, in February 2022. The feud started when West shared an article claiming that Gamble cheated on Jenner at a club.
The next day, West posted on Instagram, "God has a plan to remove the godless Corey needed to never be here anyway."
"And I think he's a nice person. Not a great person. A nice person who used to be around Puff's family then got around Justin Bieber and then when Kris [Jenner] got divorced he slid in. He became the tv version of a father figure and as he always called [himself] 'a REAL n—ga' He once told my wife he knew what music she should be listening to. So when I seen him a week later, I had him removed from my daughter's birthday party," he continued in a now-deleted post.
West also alleged that Gamble had a part to play in Kim being "linked with liberals in a deep way."
