‘13 Reasons Why’ Season 2: Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford Tease Upcoming Episodes
“13 Reasons Why” stars Dylan Minnette and Katherine Langford recently opened up about the second season of the hit Netflix series.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Minnette said that production is still ongoing, but they are almost halfway through filming Season 2. “I can tell you we’re deep in the thick of it. Getting right on a plane after this to go back and do more tomorrow… I can’t really say that much. We’re really, not really halfway through, but we’re getting there,” he said.

Langford, who plays the lead role in “13 Reasons Why,” added that the production has been going well since they started filming a few months ago. “I’m excited that I get to be back and work with the people that I love, because I love all the people on this show. But it’s also, I think, really exciting that we get to continue the conversation that we started in Season 1. So, I’m excited,” she said.
Meanwhile, despite the popularity of “13 Reasons Why,” the series, which was adapted from Jay Asher’s novel, has also received a lot of negative criticism. Critics have claimed that the Netflix show seemed to glorify suicide and patronize sexual assault and unhealthy relationships. According to Minnette, however, the writers of “13 Reasons Why” are doing their best to tell the right stories in the right way for Season 2.
“I think every single word from everyone across the world has been heard by everyone involved in the show. Whether that will have an impact or change the storytelling that needs to be done in season two, I don’t think so. I think they’re, again, going to tell the story that we think needs to be told and tell it, and try to do the best job that we can, like last year,” he said.
“13 Reasons Why” Season 2 is expected to focus on the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s (Langford) death. The people who were “involved” in her decision to kill herself will also be given emphasis. For instance, Bryce (Justin Prentice) may finally be arrested for raping Hannah and Jessica (Alisha Boe).
“13 Reasons Why” Season 2 will premiere on Netflix next year.
