14-Year-Old Forced To Get Pregnant: Barren Mother Used Web-Purchased Donor Sperm To Impregnate Virgin Teen
In a culture where teens are suspected of getting pregnant for instant fame, starring in MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” and “Teen Mom,” one UK teen was forced by her mother to conceive after the mother could no longer carry a child.
The 14-year-old virgin teen was allegedly forced by her adoptive mother to conceive using sperm purchased on the Internet. The unidentified teen reportedly miscarried at age 14 but went on to have a baby two years later at age 16, the Guardian reported Sunday.
According to court documents, the mother planned the pregnancy after being denied approval to adopt a fourth child, citing an unspecified health condition and elective sterilization as the reasoning for asking her daughter to carry a child.
The mother, who insisted on having a girl, forced the teen to undergo painful douches containing vinegar, lemon or lime juice in hopes of affecting the gender. The teen was also forced to inseminate herself several times using syringes before birthing her child.
Family Division Judge Justice Jackson said in court documents that he was astonished by the adoptive mother’s sinister plot.
“[I have] an abiding sense of disbelief that a parent could behave in such a wicked and selfish way toward a vulnerable child,” Jackson said.
The mother was apprehended by authorities after the birth of the teen’s child when hospital workers witnessed the mother refusing to let the teen breastfeed or hold the child.
Witnesses claim the mother said, “We don’t want any of that attachment thing.” According to the judgment, the mother attempted to flee the hospital with the newborn and planned to raise the infant as her own.
The teen told authorities that she went through with the pregnancy plans in hopes it would bring her closer to her adoptive mother, saying, “If I do this, maybe she will love me more.”
DNA tests showed that the semen originated from Cryos International, a Denmark sperm bank.
The mother is currently serving a five-year prison sentence for child cruelty.
