September might mean the winding down of summer, but that doesn’t mean good things can’t come with it, too. Don’t let Green Day fool you because you’ll definitely want to be awake this month, as so many great albums are about ready to drop.

The month just started and we’ve already been given the perfect gift to our ears in the form of The Script’s new album “Freedom Child,” which was released on Sept. 1. Seeing as that was only the first day of September, it’s safe to say the rest of the month is bound to be just as marvelous in the world of music. With a fresh album from vocal wonder woman Demi Lovato, and new albums from the likes of the Foo Fighters and Miley Cyrus and a debut solo album from Camila Cabello, how could it not be?

Keep reading to find out all the September albums we can’t wait to hear and put on repeat!

Sept. 8

Jack Johnson – “All The Light Above It Too”

It’s been four years since Johnson’s last full album, and that’s four years too many. If his first single off of it, “My Mind Is For Sale,” is any indication, then this album is going to be pure, calming and intriguing. In other words, it’s going to be classic Jack Johnson.

Thomas Rhett - “Life Changes”

Releasing a new album every couple years seems to be what Rhett likes to do and that’s more than fine with us. Life might change, but how much we crave new music from the “Unforgettable” singer doesn’t.

Tori Amos - “Native Invader”

Number 15. That’s right, this is set to be Amos’ fifteenth studio album and there’s one main reason for that: her hauntingly beautiful voice. Her sound will put you in a trance that there’s no way of getting out of and the only thing left to do is listen through all of her albums one after another.

Sept. 15

Foo Fighters - “Concrete and Gold”

Another Foo Fighters album is always a good thing because you always know what you’re going to get, which is just some good rock music. And that statement is as solid as a concrete and gold.

Galantis - “The Aviary”

This is only the second album from the Swedish EDM duo, but after hearing the few songs that have already been released off of it, it’s clear that they wasted no time in learning what works and what doesn’t. In other words, they didn’t have much studying to do because everything they’ve already released is pure EDM magic.

Gucci Mane - “Mr. Davis”

Allow Mane to re-introduce himself as Mr. Radric Davis real quick. A quick glance at the track listing for this new album will show that he aims to give his fans and listeners a sort of musical autobiography starting with the intro “Work in Progress” and ending with the outro “Made It.” And there’s no dubting that this personal glimpse into the life of both the rapper and the man behind the rapping will only contribute the overall sense of his making it.

Sept. 22

Camila Cabello - “The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.”

After leaving Fifth Harmony at the end of 2016, Cabello is set to take on the music world once again with her new album, but this time, she’s doing it solo. She’s mentioned the album’s title being personal and showcasing all that she’s been through, but it also seems like it could meant for fans, too. Surely many 5H fans were hurt after she announced she was exiting the group, but it’s been a year of healing and it’s time for all fans to come together in the name of loving music, both 5H’s and Cabello’s.

Fergie - “Double Dutchess”

The Dutchess is ready to make her grand return after 11 years, which is how long it’s been since her last solo album, “The Dutchess,” came out. This will be her first studio album since her debut and her first album on her own record label imprint, Dutchess Music. She’s been teasing new music off of it since 2014 with “L.A. Love (La La),” but now it’s about time for the full, real thing.

Haley Reinhart - “What’s That Sound?”

Sultry and raspy, Reinhart’s voice is the perfect mix of the two and it makes for great songs to listen to on a rainy day or during road trips, especially solo drives when you just want to really get into a song, either emotionally or vocally. Her lead single off this album, “Baby It’s You,” is a perfect example of that, which only bodes well for how the rest of the CD will sound.

Lights - “Skin & Earth”

The Canadian singer puts everything she has into her music and it’s easy to tell when listening to the songs that she creates. The first single of her upcoming album, “Giants,” is a classic choice for a single as it’s catchy, but interesting and different, but familiar. It’s an invitation to hear what can be found on the new album and it’s an invitation everyone should say “Yes” to.

Macklemore - “Gemini”

This isn’t a duo album with Ryan Lewis, this album is pure Macklemore and only the second solo studio album of his, with the first coming out back in 2005. That just means he has a lot to say as a solo act and he’s set to pour it all out on this album and it’s our collective job to really listen to all that he has to say and not take it for granted.

Sept. 29

Demi Lovato - “Tell Me You Love Me”

We should all be able to confidently say that Lovato’s first single off her sixth studio album, “Sorry Not Sorry,” wasn’t just cool for the summer and will remain as one of the best anthems out there. When she followed it up with the pop-ballad title track, “Tell Me You Love Me,” it became evermore clear, not that anything needed to be cleared up, that she’s not messing around with this new music and it’s bound to arrive, go through one ear and then just never leave your head. If there’s one album on this list that should be listened to and loved, surely, it’s this one.

Echosmith - “Inside a Dream”

The sibling band first mentioned their dreams with their debut album, “Talking Dreams,” in 2013 and now they’re about to let fans know what it’s like when you’re living inside of those dreams. It’ll be an interesting journey and one that’s already started with the album’s already-released songs “Goodbye” and “Future Me.” But the journey isn’t over and we’re very ready for it to continue.

Miley Cyrus - “Younger Now”

Always one to keep listeners guessing, Cyrus is switching up her music style once again with this new album and it’s inspiring. She continues to learn and grow and figure out who she is, and she allows fans to follow along as she does this through the power of her ever-changing music. If she feels younger now, then we’re happy to feel that right along with her.

Shania Twain - “Now”

It’s been a whopping 15 years since Twain graced us all with a new album, which means she’s had 15 years of experiences and ideas to throw into this new music and we’ve had 15 years of being ready for it all. Her album title says it all, let us listen to this album, “Now.”
