A 17-year-old girl in Syracuse, New York, has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed two people during a domestic dispute.

The teen suspect, whose name was not disclosed, was arrested Thursday after she allegedly stabbed a 20-year-old man and a second 17-year-old girl during the man and the teen suspect's dispute at an apartment in the 200 block of Towers Lane, Syracuse.com reported, citing Syracuse police spokesman Lt. Matthew Malinowski.

Police were called to Upstate University Hospital at around 6 p.m. Thursday and found the unidentified male victim with stab wounds, Malinowski said Friday. The man was stabbed twice in the left shoulder.

The female victim, whose name was also not revealed, was not involved in the dispute between the man and the suspect but attempted to break up the fight, Malinowski said. The 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the arm as she tried to intervene.

The police spokesman stated that all three individuals knew each other. Police have not disclosed the reason for the dispute.

The stabbing victims were brought to Upstate Hospital in a private vehicle before police were called to the scene. Both are expected to survive, according to Malinowski.

The 17-year-old suspect has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned and released to her mother.

In related news, a 19-year-old man in England has been sentenced to prison time for stabbing a father and daughter on Torquay harbourside in an unprovoked attack on Oct. 14, 2021.

Dee Jay Wilson repeatedly stabbed the father, who is in his 40s, and the daughter, who is in her 20s, in the back while they were walking their dogs along the harbourside that night, Devon Live reported.

Wilson, of Pennsylvania Road, Ellacombe, then ran from the scene and made up a series of lies to avoid responsibility.

The two victims, whose names were not disclosed, survived their injuries, but the father said he still suffered shooting pains and psychological damage.

Wilson admitted two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife. He was sentenced to seven and a half years in jail and another three years on extended license.

Wilson will need to serve a minimum of five years in jail before he can apply for probation.

"This was an extremely violent, dangerous and unprovoked attack. You are capable of inflicting extreme and dangerous violence without any pause for thought and showing no capability for self-control whatsoever," Judge Timothy Rose said during Wilson's sentencing.
