'19 Kids And Counting' Star Amy Duggar Calls Tim Tebow, Jana Duggar Dating Rumors Ridiculous

The Duggars have spoken. While Michelle and Jim Bob’s oldest daughter, Jana, 24, has yet to address rumors she is dating former NFL star Tim Tebow, her cousin and “19 Kids and Counting” co-star Amy Duggar has had no problem talking about the supposed courting.

According to a report from Star magazine, Amy, 28, has her “eye” on fellow devout Christian Tebow, 27, and has been trying to steal him away from Jana. The tabloid goes on to claim that the aspiring country singer even “made sure” she was at the Duggars' Arkansas home Nov. 12 in order to meet and cozy up to the athlete’s mom, motivational speaker Pam Tebow.

While Amy did meet Tebow’s mother last month, she says the tabloid’s report couldn’t be farther from the truth.

“Looks like the tabloids are at it again!” Amy posted to her Instagram page Thursday morning alongside an image of Star magazine’s report. “Jana and I laughed so hard about this, we’ve never even met Tim Tebow. #allsmilesnodrama.”

Despite Amy's claims that Jana is not courting with the NFL quarterback-turned-broadcaster, some “19 Kids and Counting” viewers would like to see it happen. “I hope Jana gets set up with him,” said one of Amy’s Instagram followers Thursday. Other fans simply praised the Christian family for being able to laugh off the dating rumors.

Amy’s comment comes just days after Tebow’s rep confirmed that his client is not dating the TLC reality star. “Tim and Jana Duggar have never even met,” the athlete’s rep told Us Weekly Saturday.

Rumors of Jana and Tebow's courtship first started in November after Michelle and Jim Bob met Pam Tebow at a Loving Choices Pregnancy Centers fundraiser near their hometown. According to a report from Star, Jim Bob has a plan for Tebow to date his oldest daughter.

“Jim Bob is no dummy," a source told Star. “Tim would be a perfect addition to the family and a feather in his cap. Can you imagine the press attention a Tim-Jana wedding would get?”
