KEY POINTS

  • Deer videos are capturing the hearts of netizens
  • One video showed a deer shedding of its antlers in a "spectacular and unique" fashion
  • The other showed a doe walking with a human just like a dog

Two deer footage have caught the attention of the Internet recently, and it only shows how elegant these animals can be – even if they are mingling with humans.

The first video was uploaded by the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department on their Facebook page. The snippet showed a deer shedding its antlers, but it had no idea it was being filmed.

At first glance, it seemed like the deer was scratching its head. But all of a sudden, the animal shook its head and the antlers came off before it ran out the camera's frame.

The video, which was described by the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department as “spectacular and unique” was captured by a trail camera owned by Ann Sivori, said Fox News.

Sivori claimed that she is not a hunter and didn't set anything. The animal – and the camera – was just at the right place at the right time.

Sivori's video was uploaded earlier this year and has garnered more than 130,000 views, more than 2,000 reactions and 374 comments, the outlet added.

On the other hand, another deer took the hearts of netizens when it made its way to a Minnesota neighborhood.

John Dolan captured the doe walking side by side with his son when the latter wen outside to get his mail, said Dolan on his Facebook post.

He then told his son to pet the animal and instead of scampering away, the deer went closer to him. It even went to Dolan and he too got the chance to pet the animal.

Dolan's son said that the deer was “like a dog.”
