Sunnyvale, California, Department of Public Safety has suspended two veterans and fired two rookie officers for passing out porn featuring a fellow female officer.

NBC Bay Area, citing a source, reported that the female officer made a porn video with her husband, while she was an officer in Hawaii, prior to her being recruited by the Sunnyvale police in 2017. The two then allegedly live streamed it on a porn website.

Recently, the porn video was shared from their phones by the rookie officers, who were on probation, and the two veterans. While the rookie officers were fired, the veterans were suspended. However, there were no details of the suspension, including when it took place. There is also no information if the department knew about the female officer’s porn video when she was recruited.

"It's unclear if this porn video would have been a legitimate reason for Sunnyvale, not to have hired the female officer,” the department said in a statement.

In a similar incident in June this year, two firefighters were placed on paid leave for allegedly making porn videos while on duty at the fire station in Ohio. The department launched an internal investigation after the videos surfaced on some porn sites.

"Allegations involving two City of Akron firefighters, recently came to the attention of the City. The allegations relate to the creation of pornographic content displayed online — some of which is alleged to have taken place on City property. The two employees were immediately placed on administrative leave pursuant to their union agreement, pending the investigation. The employees involved are not assigned to work at the same fire station and were known to be in a long-term relationship, the department said in a statement.

In another similar incident related to pornographic arrest in 2015, a Gretna, Louisiana, police officer was suspended on charges of distributing child pornography. Ronald Dale Black shared a video with an undercover agent depicting a young girl engaging in sexual intercourse with an adult man. The officer was also accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with a 6-year-old child in 2014. However, he was not arrested but sent on administrative leave without pay. He was allowed to rejoin after Plaquemines grand jury declined to file charges against him in regard to the incident.
