Sports' elite gathered together on Wednesday night in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater for the 2012 Excellence in Sports Performance (ESPY) Awards, where Jeremy Lin, LeBron James and Tim TeBow along with ladies Brittney Griner and Maria Sharapova scored big.

Athletes ranging from Drew Brees to Maria Sharapova to Jeremy Lin, who sparked a worldwide tidal wave known as Linsanity, hit the red carpet for the occasion, posing for photos at the 20th annual ESPY awards.

One best dressed of the night was Maria Sharapova who wore an opaque periwinkle Grecian gown paired with a thick metallic cuff bracelet.

Other best dressed stars included Lindsay Vonn wearing a chocolate jacket, black pants and white shirt, Danica Patrick donning a pale pink Grecian floral dress and Brittney Griner embracing the menswear trend with a simple crisp white shirt and matching grey trousers and vest, paired with sneakers, of course.

Sports' men were not short of fashion for the ESPY awards either. Jeremy Lin stole the show wearing a grey suit with an ostentatious purple bow tie that still has everyone talking. Shaun White kept it simple with a clean black tailored suit. Posing with father-ion-law Bruce Jenner wearing a summery grey suit, Lamar Odom donned expertly tailored paints with a peach shirt under a jacket. Time Tebow, always the sharp dresser, wore a light gray suit and lavender tie. Rapper Swizz Beatz kept it cool wearing an untucked white tuxedo shirt, black slacks and bright white kicks. Donald Driver looked dapper as ever in head-to-toe white.

The red carpet was also packed with Hollywood's elite from Jessica Biel, who wore a sleeveless white A-line scoopneck frock, Olivia Munn wearing a gray sleeveless gown, Hayden Panettiere wearing a strapless baby blue gown and Zooey Deschanel in a glittery gold dress with a red belt.

Sports wives and girlfriends also showed up for the occasion, like Willa Ford wearing a bright mauve gown to accompany her husband and former NHL player Mike Modana.
