The 2012 Golden Globe Awards ceremony held on Sunday in Beverly Hills, Calif., saw a striking contrast between the women celebrities’ choice of colors for their red carpet gowns.

While some celebrities at the 69th annual awards opted for formal black dresses, a couple of them flaunted their gowns in brighter shades varying from off-white, cream, mauve, peach and yellow to tints of grey.

Some of the “A-list” celebrities, including actresses and models, who donned bright-hued gowns on the red carpet were Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum, Nicole Kidman and Jessica Alba, among others.
