2014 Grammy Illuminati Rumors: Why Did Jay Z Thank God For Award?
The Grammy Awards: It’s more like the Illuminati Awards! That’s what some Twitter users were saying on Sunday night after Jay Z accepted his award on Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The rapper, who opened the show by singing -- with his wife, Beyoncé -- a rendition of “Drunk In Love,” stepped onto the stage and thanked God, kind-of. “I would like to thank God,” he said, “a little.”
If practically any other musician made this statement, it probably wouldn’t have been that big of a deal. But because it was Jay Z, the Twitterverse was sent into a tizzy. The rapper, who also goes by HOV (which is short for Jehovah or God), has long been rumored to be a part of the Illuminati. It’s a group that has ties to the Beast, or in other words people who are practicing Freemasons or Satanists.
Jay Z, whose real name is Sean Carter, has never admitted to being in the illuminati. Nevertheless, some people can’t help but place him; his wife, Beyoncé; and other popular artists in the illuminati group. That’s why when he thanked God, some people were caught somewhat off guard. He added that he was only going to thank God “a little,” which really sparked the Twitterverse. Some said it was proof that he wasn't in the Illuminati. After all, why would he thank God if he was a part of a Satanic group? For others, however, it somehow confirmed his involvement in the underground group.
This year’s music awards show isn’t the first time Jay Z has been accused of being in the Illuminati. In 2013, Media Take Out alleged the ring the rapper wore during his Grammy performance of “Suit and Tie” with Justin Timberlake was a symbol of the Illuminati.
"Jay Z must have wanted to get people talking. With ALL the rumors that he is a CARD CARRYING member of the ILLUMINATI, Jigga showed up to the Grammy's wearing a LARGE jewel encrusted ring - which looks like the ANCIENT rings worn by members of SECRET SOCIETIES,” the site wrote in February 2013. “Either that . . . or Jigga doesn't care WHO KNOWS his affiliations ."
