The national teams have started to arrive in Brazil ahead of the 2014 World Cup opening day. If the England team's arrival is any indication, security is tight. The teams arrived to much fanfare -- but also intense security measures -- in Brazil. Japan's plane received an aeronautical honorific welcome from airport fire trucks as it taxied in at Viracopos Airport in Campinas on Sunday. Other teams, including those of Russia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Colombia have already arrived in Brazil.
Every four years, 32 national teams compete for the most coveted trophy in the world. This year the World Cup begins on June 12 as host country Brazil competes against Croatia.
