2015 Emmys: ‘Orange Is The New Black' Actress Uzo Aduba Cries During Acceptance Speech After Historic Win

Uzo Aduba made us all emotional during the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards when the “Orange Is the New Black” star accepted her award for best supporting actress in a drama series. The artist, who portrays the fan favorite character Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on the Netflix drama, kicked off her acceptance speech by thanking everyone for their support.
“You let me be me,” she said with tears strolling down her cheeks before giving a shout out to her sister (who was sitting in the audience) that she was humbled to be her sibling.

Not only does this mark Aduba’s second Emmy win (she also won for outstanding guest actress in a comedy series for “OITNB” in 2014) but the actress also made history during the 67th annual ceremony, becoming the second person to win the coveted statuette for the same roles in two genres.
