Moët & Chandon kicked off New York Fashion Week with an illustrious crowd at the 2017 amfAR New York Gala.
Held at Cipriani Wall Street, the evening honored actress Scarlett Johansson and designer Donatella Versace for their inspiring contributions to building awareness of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The fashion-forward crowd presented an assortment of A-list actors, socialites, models and the fashion industry’s finest.
Heidi Klum, always playing host, served a crystallized “Donatella” magnum of Moët & Chandon to her model-filled table including the designer herself, Naomi Campbell, Zoe Kravitz, Amber Valletta and Alessandra Ambrosio.
The generation of supermodels all played nice, traveling in packs as Naomi and Iman (escorted bydesigner Zac Posen) shared a moment embracing each other’s faces.
Heidi was also seen catching up with Adriana Lima, and others such as Candice Huffine, Hilary Rhoda and Josephine Skriver . While the evening’s host Lena Dunham had to cancel due to being sick, her mother and "Girls" castmate Zosia Mamet filled in.
Honoree Scarlett Johansson made her first public appearance post-split, delivering a tear-jerking speech upon being presented by Mark Ruffalo. Actor Jeremy Piven also presented, referring to himself as the “poor man’s Tom Ford,” and Paris Hilton could be seen wandering the room throughout the program, rarely staying put in her seat.
While Alan Cumming gave Diane Kruger lessons in using the Moët Mini vending machine, the actor later auctioned the rare item off, complete with 336 bottles of Moët Minis and golden tokens, for $85,000 benefiting amfAR.
