The 28th Annual GLAAD Media Awards honored media for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and the issues that affect their lives Friday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
The awards, which air April 6 at 10 p.m. on Logo, also recognized television shows like "The Bold and The Beautiful," "Eyewitness," "Black Mirror" " Shadowhunters " and "Transparent" and films like films such as "Moonlight" and "Other People." YouTube star Troye Sivan went home with the prestigious Stephen F. Kolzak Award and Patricia Arquette was given the Vanguard Award. Additional awards will be presented in New York at the New York Hilton Midtown on May 6.
The red carpet fashions also impressed. Many of the talent wore the color blue and “&” pins for GLAAD’s Together campaign, representing GLAAD’s work on intersectional issues including immigration, racial justice, women’s rights and LGBTQ acceptance.
