One of the most anticipated nights in film has arrived, which means it’s time to take a look at what to expect at the 2022 Oscars.

The Academy Awards honors members of the entertainment industry with a prestigious statuette and marks the end of award season.

Here are some things you should know before tuning into the annual award show on ABC.

When Are The 2022 Oscars?

The 94th annual Academy Awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 27, at 8 p.m. ET at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California.

Who Is Hosting?

The 2022 Oscars will be hosted by Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes, and Amy Schumer. This will be the first time the Oscars has had a host since 2018, when comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, took on the role.

Is It Pre-Recorded?

The Oscars will air live on the East and West Coast on ABC. It will also be broadcast in over 200 territories worldwide. For a list of where to watch the Oscars live in different countries, click here.

Although most of the show will be live, eight of the 23 awards that will be announced during the broadcast will reportedly be pre-recorded an hour before the ceremony. The content will then be edited into the regular telecast.

The categories that will be pre-taped consist of original score, film editing, documentary short, production design, makeup/hairstyling, animated short, live action short, and sound.

Can I Stream It?

Those who may not be able to sit in front of the television on Sunday night can stream the Oscars at abc.com or on the ABC app. However, they will need to sign in using their cable provider to gain access to the show.

The show will also be available to streaming customers with subscriptions to services like Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, and AT&T TV.

Who’s Performing?

Artists scheduled to perform at the 2022 Oscars include Beyoncé, who will sing “Be Alive” from “King Richard,” Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, who will perform “No Time To Die” from the film of the same name, Sebastián Yatra, who will sing “Dos Oruguitas” from “Encanto,” and Reba McEntire will perform “Somehow You Do” from “Four Good Days.”

Although Van Morrison also snagged an original song nomination for “Down To Joy” from “Belfast,” he will not perform due to scheduling conflicts with his current tour.

The Academy Awards music director Adam Blackstone will also lead an all-star band in performances during the show. The group will be made up of drummer Travis Barker, percussionist and singer Sheila E., and pianist Robert Glasper.

The Samples, a vocal group led by Jason White, also will perform in the show.
