23 Patriotic Cocktails To Show Your American Spirit On July 4
Happy 4th of July! Today, as we celebrate America's 242nd birthday, it's the perfect day to kick back and relax with a drink in hand.
So, whether you're poolside, beachside or at a BBQ, raise a glass and toast to American Independence with one of these delicious and boozy cocktails.
All-American Daiquiri: Daiquiris are a summer drink staple, and this one has the perfect theme for 4th of July.
Blueberry Strawberry Mojito: This drink is sure to be a hit at your BBQ, and will hit the right spot for any who try it.
Diamond Rose:
This red cocktail by The Cup Bearer is perfect for the Fourth. To make combine 1.75 oz. Zirkova Together, 0.75 oz. lime juice, 0.75 oz. simple syrup and 0.25 oz. raspberry tea in a cocktail shaker and give it a hard shake. Strain into a double old-fashioned glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a spritz of rosewater and a lime wheel.
D'USSE Watermelon Cooler
Muddle 3 basil leaves and ¾ oz. simple syrup in a shaker tin. Add 1 ½ oz. D'USSE Cognac, 3 oz. fresh pressed watermelon juice and ½ oz. lime into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a High ball glass, then garnish with a watermelon slice.
The Firecracker Cocktail: If you don't want to wait until dark for the sky to light up with fireworks, then this cocktail may just do the trick.
Frozen Mango Titorita:
This bigger batch recipe will allow everyone to join in on the fun. To make, place 6 oz. Tito's Handmade Vodka, 3 oz. orange liqueur, 8 oz. mango nectar, 1 oz. fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz. agave nectar, 1 cup frozen mango chunks and 3 cups of ice into a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a cocktail umbrella and a juicy lime wedge.
Frozen Moscato Lemonade:
To create this deliciously sweet frozen treat, combine 3 oz. Barefoot Bubbly Moscato Spumante, 1 oz. lemon juice, 1.5 oz. simple syrup and 1 oz. pomegranate juice in a blender. Add about a half cup of ice and blend until slushy. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a lemon wheel.
Land of the Free Lemonade: This recipe can be made both with and without alcohol, making it the best option for kid-friendly parties, allowing everyone to indulge however they wish.
Layered Red White and Berry Lemonade:
Fall a Mason Jar with ice, then pour in 6 oz. Smirnoff ICE Red, White & Berry. Add 0.5 oz. Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka, 0.5 oz. blue curacao and 1 oz. lemonade. Top with a splash of grenadine.

Moët Liber-Tea:
This drink is made by building in a glass. Start by taking a pomegranate white tea bag and steeping is in 4 oz. Of Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial for 2 minutes. Then add 1.25 oz. Belvedere Vodka and 1.5 oz. ginger beer. Add pomegranate ice cubes and garnish with skewered crystallized ginger and a sparkler.
Orchard Rosé Sangria:
To make this refreshing drink, add 2 cups of diced watermelon and 5 to 6 basil leaves to a blender and blend until liquified to make a basil watermelon juice. Then, build 3 oz. Gin, 3 oz. lemon juice, 3 oz. simple syrup and 9 oz. of the basil watermelon juice in a wine glass with ice, then top with 2 bottles of Angry Orchard Rosé Cider. Garnish with an orange twist.
Paleo Red White and Blue Cocktails: For those who want to indulge this holiday but don't want to get off track from their fitness goals, this cocktail is the perfect recipe.
Red, White and Bailey's:
Created by Lo Bosworth of “The Hills,” this recipe is patriotic perfection. First, blend 2.5 oz. Bailey’s Almande and 1 cup of frozen blueberries in a food processor until smooth. Separately blend 1 additional oz. of the Almande with 2 frozen bananas. Then blend a third mix featuring 1 oz. Bailey’s Almande and 1 cup of frozen raspberries. Then pour the individual layers into a Collins glass or Mason Jar to create a red, white and blue color scheme. Finish off by topping with blueberries.
Red White and Berry Mule:
To make this drink, Muddle blueberries and blackberries in a shaker. Add 2 oz. of berry vodka (blueberry or raspberry) and shake. Fill a Moscow mule mug with ice and pour in the muddled berries and vodka. Fill with 6 oz. Extra Spicy Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer Mini and garnish with blueberries and blackberries.

Soaked Watermelon Slice Popsicles:
These treats are perfect all summer, and especially so for 4th of July BBQs. Stir together ¾ cup tequila, ½ cup of Sparkling Ice Strawberry Watermelon and lime juice in a large bowl. Cut a 1 lb watermelon into wedges and soak in the mixture for 15 minutes. Insert popsicle sticks into wedges, then freeze on a rack-lined baking sheet for 1 hour.

Sweet Rose Lemon Spritz:
To make this ideal summer drink that’s perfect for a group, combine 8 ounces of Tequila Don Julio 70, 12 ounces of lemonade, 12 ounces of sparkling water and 7 ounces of blood orange juice into a large pitcher with ice and mix well. Top it with rose petals for garnish and serve by pouring into a rocks glass over ice.
Tito's Poolside 4th of July Cocktail
The name clearly proves this cocktail is perfect if you're chilling poolside all day, To make, combine 1 oz. Tito's Handmade Vodka, 0.5 oz. black raspberry liqueur, 0.5 oz. peach schnapps, 2 oz. cranberry juice, 2 oz. orange juice and 1 oz. sour mix in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and pour everything into a glass with ice. Garnish with an orange slice.
Tito's Rootbeer Float:
Simple to make, this is the perfect treat for anyone who wants to add a boozy kick to a nostalgic favorite. Add 1.5 0z. Tito's Handmade Vodka to a glass, top with 1 bottle of root beer and add 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream to enjoy.
Toasted Coconut Strawberry Tequila Cocktail: For a sweet cocktail with plenty of flavors, this is the one to try.
Why Is That Ginger Blue?
Start by creating a Ginger/Butterfly Pea Flower Sweetener by cooking 1 quart of water, 1 quart of sugar, and 6 oz. peeled and shredded ginger until they simmer, then add 50 dried butterfly pea flowers and strut with a spoon. Let sit until cool, strain and store in the fridge until ready to use.
Then, add .75 oz. of the mixture, 1.5 oz. Johnnie Walker Red Label, .5 oz. fresh lemon juice, and a half drop of Chefs liquid royal blue in a shaker and shake till cold. Double strain over fresh ice and top with .75 oz. Fever tree seltzer and add a Pansy flower to garnish.
