The winter anime 2021's list includes a sports series. After the conclusion of "Haikyuu!!" Season 4, fans are looking forward to another volleyball anime titled "2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team." It is based on the light novel series titled "2.43: Seiin Kōkō Danshi Volley-bu" by Yukako Kabei.

The official website released spoiler stills and synopsis for "2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team" Episode 1. The debut episode is set to introduce the titular character named Kimichika Haijima.

Two of the finest players of Seiin High School – Haikjima and Yuni Kuroba, resolve to defeat the reigning champion's, Fukuho Tech High School, winning streak. Fukuho Tech are the "Kings of Fukui Prefecture" with the most number of appearances in national tournaments.

"After everything that’s happened, can the ace pair be reunited? Genius setter Kimichika Haijima and team ace Yuni Kuroba were a duo on and off the volleyball court. But at the last tournament of middle school, the two begin fighting and end their friendship. Now in high school, they are forced to meet on the same side of the net. They’ll need to work things out if they want a chance at Nationals," the series synopsis read, according to Funimation.

Fans in the U.S. can watch "2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team" Episode 1 online on Funimation. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles. The opening theme, titled "Mahi," is performed by Yama and the ending theme, titled "Undulation," is by Sôchi Sakiyama.
