25 Earnings Reports To Watch Next Week, May 21-24
Before the curtain falls on this earnings season, investors will hear next week from several more major players, including Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Lowe's, Pandora, and Tiffany.
Among the 473 companies in the S&P 500 index that have reported earnings for the first quarter of this year, 72 percent have reported earnings above the mean estimate, according to FactSet. This percentage is consistent with the average percentage of companies reporting upside earnings surprises over the last four quarters.
We ran a screen and produced a list of 25 notable companies set to report their earnings May 21-24. We have highlighted their expected reporting dates and times, along with analysts' earnings-per-share and revenue estimates from Reuters, as well as the stocks' year-to-date performances.
Monday Before Market Open, or BMO:
Lowe's Companies Inc. (NYSE: LOW) is a home-improvement retailer. The company has a market capitalization of $34.14 billion. It is expected to report first-quarter EPS of 42 cents on revenue of $12.99 billion, compared with a profit of 34 cents a share on revenue of $12.19 billion in the year-ago period. Lowe's is trading around $28.81 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 13.44 percent.
Campbell Soup Co. (NYSE: CPB) is a manufacturer and marketer of convenience-food products. The company has a market cap of $10.75 billion. It is expected to report fiscal third-quarter EPS of 52 cents on revenue of $1.82 billion, compared with a profit of 57 cents a share on revenue of $1.81 billion in the year-ago period. Campbell Soup is trading around $33.94 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 2.17 percent.
Monday After Market Close, or AMC:
Urban Outfitters Inc. (NASDAQ: URBN) is a lifestyle specialty-retail company. The company has a market cap of $3.75 billion. It is expected to report first-quarter EPS of 20 cents on revenue of $579.24 million, compared with a profit of 23 cents a share on revenue of $524.02 million in the year-ago period. Urban Outfitters is trading around $25.89 a share. So far this year, the stock has lost 6.06 percent.
Tuesday, BMO:
AutoZone Inc. (NYSE: AZO) is a retailer and distributor of automotive replacement parts and accessories. The company has a market cap of $14.59 billion. It is expected to report fiscal third-quarter EPS of $6.25 on revenue of $2.13 billion, compared with a profit of $5.29 a share on revenue of $1.98 billion in the year-ago period. AutoZone is trading around $374.94 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 15. percent.
Ralph Lauren Corp. (NYSE: RL) is engaged in the design, marketing, and distribution of men's, women's, and children's apparel, as well as accessories, fragrances, and home furnishings. The company has a market cap of $13.42 billion. It is expected to report fiscal fourth-quarter EPS of 83 cents on revenue of $1.60 billion, compared with a profit of 74 cents a share on revenue of $1.43 billion in the year-ago period. Ralph Lauren is trading around $145.57 a share. So far this year, the stock has appreciated 5.27 percent.
Medtronic Inc. (NYSE: MDT) is a medical-technology company. The company has a market cap of $38.69 billion. Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) is a global information technology company. The company has a market cap of $26.01 billion. It is expected to report first-quarter EPS of 46 cents on revenue of $14.89 billion, compared with a profit of 55 cents a share on revenue of $15.02 billion in the year-ago period. Dell is trading around $14.78 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 0.89 percent.
Analog Devices Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) designs, manufactures, and markets analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal processing integrated circuits used in all types of electronic equipment. The company has a market cap of $10.50 billion. It is expected to report fiscal second-quarter EPS of 51 cents on revenue of $665.70 million, compared with a profit of 75 cents a share on revenue of $790.78 million in the year-ago period. Analog Devices is trading around $35.26 a share. So far this year, the stock has lost 9.8 percent.
Avago Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: AVGO) is a designer, developer. and global supplier of a range of analog semiconductor devices. The company has a market cap of $7.32 billion. It is expected to report fiscal second-quarter EPS of 59 cents on revenue of $577.67 million, compared with a profit of 60 cents a share on revenue of $560 million in the year-ago period. Avago Technologies is trading around $30.03 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 4.02 percent.
Guess Inc. (NYSE: GES) designs, markets, distributes, and licenses apparel and accessories for men, women, and children. The company has a market cap of $2.21 billion. It is expected to report first-quarter EPS of 27 cents on revenue of $571.49 million, compared with a profit of 46 cents a share on revenue of $592.24 million in the year-ago period. Guess is trading around $24.65 a share. So far this year, the stock has lost 17.27 percent.
Collective Brands Inc. (NYSE: PSS) is a producer of compelling lifestyle, fashion, and performance brands for footwear and related accessories to consumers worldwide. The company has a market cap of $1.28 billion. H.J. Heinz Co. (NYSE: HNZ) is engaged in manufacturing and marketing a range of food products throughout the world. The company has a market cap of $17.41 billion. VeriFone Systems is trading around $44.58 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 25.7 percent.
