This year sees the introduction of a slew of new fitness-oriented devices and gadgets that are meant to help the average person become healthier. Those who are looking for a bit of help to get fit might find these inventions useful and even enjoyable to use.
Here are some of the best fitness devices that were shown during CES:
For those who love to workout at home
- AmazFit HomeStudio
The AmazFit HomeStudio is basically a combination of a modern treadmill and a huge display, similar to how the Peloton Tread and Mirror display works, Business Insider reported. It's the result of a collaboration between two companies named Huami and Studio.
The AmazFit HomeStudio has two key parts. First, there's a 43-inch smart display called Glass. Second, there's a treadmill that comes in two varieties: a slat belt treadmill that will allow users to run up to 12 miles per hour, and a shorter treadmill version that only limits running speeds to 9mph.
Users will be able to access a variety of running exercises using the display. Those who don't want to run can still use the system for workouts: simply place the treadmill part aside, access a variety of other exercises via the display, and exercise.
For those who love to listen to music while working out
- Jabra Elite Active 75t
Audio company Jabra previously released the Jabra Elite 75t, the successor to the Elite 65t that features noise cancellation and exceptional sound quality. The model, despite being capable of making Apple's AirPods Pro stay in the shelves, is not designed to be taken to the gym or worn during workouts, though.
Enter the Jabra Elite Active 75t, the successor to the Elite Active 65t. This model doesn't have noise cancellation, but it is IP57-rated for dust and sweat-resistance, making it a good option to wear during workouts. Its HearThrough function also lets runners and joggers hear noises around them so they are aware of what's happening around them as they run.
For those who love to wear smartwatches but don't like constantly charging them
- AmazFit Bip S
Finally, aforementioned company Huami also announced a new smartwatch called the AmazFit Bip S, a wearable that will not require users to keep looking for a wall outlet to charge it daily. This $70 wearable offers a 40-day battery life, an upgraded GPS feature, and a display that can be seen even when the sun is shining brightly in the middle of the day.
