3 Men Attack Woman, Break Her Jaw At Taco Stand; Incident Caught On Camera
New York City -- Three men were caught on camera mercilessly beating up a 37-year-old woman in the Bronx, police said Wednesday. The attack resulted in the victim sustaining severe injuries, including a broken jaw.
The woman was arguing with a man at a taco stand at the northwest corner of Lydig Avenue and White Plains Road in Pelham Parkway at around 9:15 p.m. on May 18 when the incident took place, the New York Post reported, citing police.
A video released Wednesday shows two of the three men shoving the woman, causing her to fall backward onto the sidewalk. All three then punch and kick her repeatedly, before one of them sends out a final kick in the face as the woman tries to sit up.
The woman was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was treated and released, according to authorities.
After the incident came to light, police launched an investigation and began the search for the three men who attacked the woman. During questioning, the victim, who has not been identified, told police she could not remember what sparked the argument.
A number of witnesses standing in line watched as the attack took place but did not help the woman, local police said, as per New York Daily News. However, the footage appears to show an onlooker trying to intervene.
Describing the suspects, police said one of them has a medium complexion and medium build, with brown eyes and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a graphic on the front that read, "Legends never die." The man also donned a blue baseball cap, gray sweatpants, a red backpack and white sneakers.
