32 Key Earnings Reports To Watch This Week, May 7 - 11
First-quarter earnings season is winding down, with about 84 percent of the S&P 500 constituents already out with their results.
While the peak weeks are behind us, we will still see a number of bellwether companies reporting results this week, including: Walt Disney, Macy's, Kohl's, OfficeMax, Cisco Systems, Nvidia, News Corp., AOL, Tyson Foods and Priceline.
Last week, a lower number of companies than average reported earnings above analyst expectations. Of the 103 companies that reported earnings during the week, only 60 reported actual earnings per share above the mean EPS estimate, according to data from FactSet.
As a result, the overall percentage of companies reporting upside earnings surprises for the quarter dropped to 72 percent from 77 percent (with 403 companies reporting to date).
During the month of April, there had been little change to the estimated earnings growth rate for the second quarter. However, analysts began to slightly reduce estimates during the past week. As of Friday, the estimated earnings growth rate stood at 5.9 percent, compared with a 6.3 percent print on April 27.
We ran a screen and produced a list of 32 key companies set to report their earnings between May 7 and May 11. We have highlighted their expected reporting dates and times, along with analysts' EPS and revenue estimates from Reuters, as well as the stocks' year-to-date performances.
