Four people, including two teenage girls, have been arrested after they allegedly robbed a beauty supply store in Upland, California, Friday night.
Police were called to the Colonies Crossroads in Upland Friday following reports that a group of people robbed the store and assaulted at least two customers, Fox 11 reported.
The suspects had fled the scene by the time Upland police arrived.
Authorities said they were able to get a description of the suspects' vehicle. Officers posted up at various spots on the nearby freeway after searching the area.
Police eventually found a vehicle that matched the description, a tan Mercedes Benz.
Two adult men and two teenage girls, who were not identified, were found inside the car and were immediately taken into custody on felony charges, police said.
Authorities said they found more than $13,000 worth of merchandise inside the vehicle, according to Fox 11.
The condition of the customers the suspects allegedly assaulted is unknown.
No other information about the case has been released as of this writing.
In other news, two people were arrested earlier this week in connection with the kidnapping of four people from a home in California, Fox News reported.
A 6-month-old baby was among the four people who were kidnapped and forced into a van during an armed robbery Thursday, police said.
Officers with the Westminster Police Department responded to a home at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of a kidnapping and assault. When they arrived, they found a man and a woman bleeding with head injuries.
During their investigation, police learned that two suspects broke into the victims' home and demanded money.
The two adult victims were pistol-whipped, police said. The other two victims abducted were the baby and a 14-year-old girl, according to authorities.
"The male suspect pistol whipped both adult victims when there was no money found," a police statement said. "At gunpoint, the suspects forced the victims into a cargo van parked outside and drove the victims to a Hotel in Costa Mesa."
The two suspects were identified as Michael Alexander Rodriguez, 26, and Bich Dao Vo, 30. Police said the latter is related to one of the adult victims.
After being taken to a motel, the two adults found a way to escape and went back to the home to call 911, which prompted the police response.
The suspects were arrested after police spotted them in a U-Haul van. The children were found unharmed by police.
