According to E! News, Princess Diana and Prince Charles had only gone on 12 dates before they got engaged, and this is considered to be a very short period of time.

Markle and Prince Harry have only been dating for a year and a half when the latter proposed to the former. Even though they’ve gone more dates compared to Prince Harry’s parents, this is still not enough time for Markle to familiarize herself about everything she needs to know about the royal family.

She smiled for the cameras and chatted with her fans. This is also very similar to what Princess Diana did especially after she got married to Prince Charles.

The former “Suits” star is known for breaking royal traditions. She once signed an autograph for a young fan, and she also shook hands with those who waited for her for hours. Markle also hugged a charity worker during her trip to Scotland.

Princess Diana never shied away from hugging the people who love and support her. She also shocked everyone when she shook hands with an HIV patient years ago.
