4-Year-Old Boy's Body With Throat Slit Found In Texas Home, Mother Charged With Murder
A woman was charged with murder after her four-year-old son was found dead at their home in Sugar Land, Texas, on Saturday morning.
The father of the child arrived at the home Saturday morning and saw blood on the home. He then found his wife, identified as 36-year-old Ritika Rohatgi Agrawal, walking around the home with injuries.
The man immediately informed the police about it. The responding officers found the boy’s body upstairs with his throat slit. The police said the woman’s wounds on her neck and wrists were self-inflicted.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was charged with murder and will be taken into custody once she was discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, investigation was ongoing and no additional details were available.
The incident comes days after a woman in Indiana was arrested after her infant daughter was found dead. The mother, identified as 22-year-old Anna Pablo, took her 11-month-old baby to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Officials said there were signs of “unexplained injuries and signs of bruising” on the infant’s body. Authorities also believed the infant had been dead for some time before her mother took her to the hospital. The woman was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent. Investigation was ongoing.
