Simple everyday dishes adorned with expensive ingredients are becoming something of a trend; the latest installment comes from a small pizza chain: a $450 pie topped with lobster, black Alaskan cod and a side of Russian Osetra Caviar.

Only one person has ordered this particular pizza from the Steveston Pizza Co. in Canada. Customers interested in the pie must order it one day in advance, according to the Huffington Post.

This isn't the only pizza the pricey eatery has for over $100. Another version of the pie, topped with roasted garlic, Icelandic scampi, smoked steelhead, and lobster ratatouille comes with a $120 price tag.

The idea was to make a culinary statement. I don't know if you've tried our pizza but each one is pretty unique. Nader Hatami, the restaurant's owner, told Web Pro News.

Twitter users are outraged that a pizza covered in seafood could be sold for such a high price.

The $450 pizza has made it to the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive pizza sold, surpassing Gordon Ramsey's $178 pizza sold at his Maze Restaurant.

This isn't the most expensive pizza available, however. Margo's Pizzeria in Malta sells a pizza with white truffles and 24-carat gold leaf for $2,400. Alternatively at the Favitta's Family Pizzeria in New York, you can buy an $8,200 pizza that comes with a diamond ring.

The most expensive pizza available on the market is worth $12,000-a Renato Viola Creation. The Pizza takes 72-hours to make, topped with bufala mozzarella, three types of caviar, lobster from Norway and Cilento, and it is lightly dusted with handpicked grains of pink Australian sea-salt from the Murray River. The perk is that it is made for the customer in their own kitchen and home.
