WGN America’s “Salem” is just a few weeks away from premiering Season 3. Mary Sibley’s fate will soon be revealed and it’s only a matter of time before we learn the devil’s plan for humanity.

Fans of the horror series know the sad story of Mary (Janet Montgomery) and the love of her life, Captain John Alden (Shane West). The two were lovers when they were young. Unfortunately, Alden left to fight the Indians and left a pregnant Mary to deal with their unborn child. She gave up the child to the care of the Essex witches, married the wealthy George Sibley and used witchcraft to get the devil to walk on Earth.

One thing that many “Salem” fans wish to see is Mary and John reuniting. Montgomery and West share a sizzling chemistry on screen. The couple were somewhat reunited at the end of last season when they worked hard to prevent Countess Marburg (Lucy Lawless) from making their son, John Jr. (Oliver Bell), a vessel for the devil. They both failed. But Mary showed her love for Alden by sacrificing her life to save his.

Although Mary and her servant Tituba (Ashley Madekwe) have had their differences in “Salem,” Madweke and Montgomery clearly share a unique bond off screen. The actress shared photos on Instagram of them sporting oversized sunglasses and sipping some champagne.
