With Memorial Day celebrations put on hold last year due to the pandemic, many Americans are ready to get out and remember all the men and women that died in service of our country.

The COVID vaccine has made it possible for many people to feel safe and comfortable celebrating the holiday that also marks the unofficial kickoff to summer with friends and family – some for the first time since the coronavirus crisis hit the U.S. back in March 2020.

Topping the list of many Americans this holiday weekend are parades, as there is no better way to honor U.S. servicemen and women.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also said that parades are safe for people who have been vaccinated to attend. However, the agency has said it is a high-risk activity for people who are not vaccinated against COVID-19.
