Continuing their fine run this season, Manchester United clinched a 2-0 win Wednesday and qualified for the League Cup final.
Second-half goals from Anthony Martial and Fred saw Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag's side won the last-four round 5-0 on aggregate as they progressed to their first League Cup final since 2017.
Marcus Rashford, who was on a nine-match streak of scoring at Old Trafford, failed to go on the goals chart, but he set up the goals for Martial and Fred.
Martial, who recently missed around five games due to an injury, marked his by netting his sixth goal of the season after a pass projected toward Rashford deflected back to the French striker just a few minutes from full-time.
Three minutes later, Bruno Fernandes made an incredible curling cross-field pass to Rashford. The English forward turned it toward Fred, who tapped it into the net with his knee and doubled the hosts' lead.
