5 Moments You Missed On ‘DOOL,’ ‘Y&R’ And ‘B&B’ This Week
There was no question about it, the drama on “Days of Our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” definitely reached a boiling point this week, and things might have gotten so hot that the summer temperatures outside can’t even compare.
It was a big week full of big moves and plots, emotional confessions and most importantly, huge breakthroughs that will change everything. In case you happened to miss a minute though, here are the five biggest moments from the week of July 29.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ (NBC)
Kristen Makes A Bold Move
After successfully framing Stefan (Brandon Barash) for Ted (Gilles Marini) and Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) kidnappings, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) finally had the opening she needed to at least accomplish one of her goals in Salem, which was to take over DiMera. However, she still can’t expose her real identity, meaning “Nicole” (Arianne Zucker) is the one that needed to take over, something she couldn’t do if she wasn’t a DiMera herself. Kristen solved that problem however by revealing that Tony (Thaao Penghlis) was once again alive, and while the two are related, it didn’t stop them from quickly pulling off marriage so Kristen could get what she wanted. However, the plot proved not to work as well as she’d hoped, and as a result, Kristen will need to take even further measures.
Gabi Gets Her Dream
Meanwhile, following Stefan’s removal as CEO of DiMera, Gabi (Camila Banus) offered to step up to the plate and marry him, which would make her eligible for the job. After the battle with “Nicole,” Gabi was able to emerge victorious as the new CEO when Stefan agreed to also sign over everything else to her, including the mansion and all other DiMera assets. However, he didn’t know that he was also playing right into his wife’s revenge ploy, and as soon as everything was settled, she stunned him by telling him to get out of her house.
“Young And The Restless” (CBS)
Billy Breaks Down
Billy (Jason Thompson) has been secretly dealing with issues regarding Delia’s death for a while now, but this week, he was finally forced to get some much-needed help as he copes, after he took a sleeping pill and woke up in the Chancellor Mansion—when he had been at home watching his and Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) kids and Christian. As a result, he finally came clean to Vicky and even began seeing a therapist to try and put his daughter’s death behind him once and for all. However, it still may not have proven to be effective, since after his appointment he still saw Delia’s doll on his bed.
“Bold and The Beautiful” (CBS)
Liam Finally Learns The Truth About Beth
His suspicions about a big secret were confirmed in a way he never thought possible, but Liam (Scott Clifton) got the best shock of his life from what he uncovered. After trying to figure out why Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) kept insisting Beth was alive and then revealed that Phoebe was the baby, Liam began putting all the pieces together and realized that his daughter with Hope (Annika Noelle) had never died. It led to an emotional reunion with the baby for him, as well as the whole story finally coming out about how the baby switch happened after he confronted Flo (Katrina Bowden)
Liam Reveals The Truth To Hope
After realizing it for himself and then getting confirmation from Flo that the baby was his, Liam then went to make sure Hope knew the truth too—before Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) could whisk her away from L.A. for good. He has since revealed to his former wife that their daughter was alive and revealed how it’s possible and needless to say, Hope is stunned. Still, their struggle to put their family back together won’t be easy, especially since taking Beth back means they will have to hurt someone else very close to them—her adoptive mother, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who also never knew the truth and has been raising her as her own for months.
