5 Movies To Watch In Theaters With Dad On Father’s Day 2019
If you want to take dad to see a movie this Father’s Day, you are in luck. The weekend of June 16 will see the release of two new films for a total of five released titles that are perfect to see with your father in honor of the 2019 holiday. From a musical biography to family-friendly adventure and a sci-fi feature, there is a movie playing for every type of dad to see in theaters.
“Men In Black: International”
Don’t expect to see Will Smith starring in this film. F. Gary Gray’s 2019 version of the “Men In Black” stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as MIB agents. This time, however, they’re not just protecting the Earth from alien invaders, they’re also seeking out a “mole” within the organization. Watch the trailer above.
“Shaft”
John Shaft(s) are coming back to the big screen for this 2019 revival. In the latest edition of “Shaft,” a cybersecurity expert, played by Jessie T. Usher, seeks the help of his family to help him uncover the truth about a friend’s death.
“Godzilla: King Of The Monsters”
If dad is a fan of sci-fi and has yet to see the latest Godzilla film, consider taking him to the Michael Dougherty-directed picture. The film follows Godzilla as he faces off against other creatures, including Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.
“Aladdin”
If you are looking for a family-friendly movie to see this Father’s Day, look no further than Disney’s live-action version of the 1992 animated classic. “Aladdin” stars Will Smith as the all-powerful genie while Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott play Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, respectively.
“Rocketman”
If dad is a fan of Elton John’s music, he’ll likely enjoy watching the biopic which follows the decorated singer’s early years. Taron Egerton stars as the “Tiny Dancer” singer in the film, which is directed by Dexter Fletcher.
