Queen Elizabeth II has shared her opinions and views on family, life and politics over the years.

The members of the British royal family do not usually give their opinions to avoid partiality. However, there have been several instances wherein the monarch shared her wisdom about different matters in general.

Train to be good at what you do

Queen Elizabeth II believes that training is very important when it comes to business. In fact, she's convinced that your quality of training influences your performance.

"It's all to do with the training: you can do a lot if you're properly trained," she said.

No one has a monopoly on wisdom

Queen Elizabeth II holds the highest position in the British monarchy. But, she knows that she still has to listen to the people and that there's still a lot of things to learn.

"Let us not take ourselves too seriously. None of us has a monopoly on wisdom," Her Majesty said.

Thoughts on colonial era

The royals are very careful when it comes to sharing their thoughts about politics. However, during the bicentennial celebration of American independence, the monarch share her two cents why England lost the battle.

"We lost the American colonies because we lacked the statesmanship to know the right time and the manner of yielding what is impossible to keep," she said.

Princess Charlotte bosses around big brother Prince George

Earlier this year, the Queen revealed her observations about Prince William and Kate Middleton's children. According to the monarch, 3-year-old Princess Charlotte rules over her big brother 5-year-old Prince George.

Back in January, the monarch met 10-year-old school girl Emily Clay and asked her if she looked after her 6-year-old sister. Emily's mom said, "it's the other way around." Then, the Queen revealed that it's the same in the palace when it comes to the Cambridge's family.

"It's like that with Charlotte and George," Queen Elizabeth II said.

Prince Charles is hopeless

According to Independent, Princess Diana turned to the Queen for some advice when her marriage with Prince Charles was at the breaking point. However, the monarch told her daughter-in-law that "Charles is hopeless."

Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II never thought that the Prince of Wales would leave Princess Diana for Camilla Parker Bowles.

"We do not approve of either of you having lovers," Prince Philip wrote. "Charles was silly to risk everything with Camilla for a man in his position. We never dreamed he might feel like leaving you for her."
