50 Cent Slams Floyd Mayweather After Boxer Is Rejected By Tiny On BET Red Carpet
The feud between rapper 50 Cent, 38, and Floyd Mayweather, 37, only escalated Monday night after 50 Cent posted a video on Instagram with choice words for the boxer. The two former friends allegedly had a falling out in 2012. 50 Cent claimed Mayweather owed him money in the seven figures after a business venture fell through.
On Monday night, the rapper posted a video on his social media account telling Mayweather to back off of T.I.’s wife, Tiny. He also posted a screenshot of Mayweather trying to talk to Tiny, along with the caption, “Now what the f— is champ doing with TI woman again. He think sh– sweet man DAMN. Leave the man lady alone Floyd [sic]. I’m call you to talk [sic].”
At the BET Awards on Sunday night, during their red carpet appearances, Mayweather tried to get Tiny’s attention, yelling her name, but she quickly walked away.
The two made headlines in May, after Tiny’s husband ended up fighting the undefeated boxing champion. The fight apparently began over Tiny.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ that Mayweather was eating at the Fatburger restaurant in Las Vegas when T.I. approached him to start an argument. The rapper then threw a punch at Mayweather before bodyguards from both sides engaged in a massive, chair-throwing brawl. A video taken by a bystander captured Mayweather yelling “control your b----" at T.I.
In an interview with Necole Bitchie, a gossip website, Mayweather said that T.I. had confronted him once before in New York over his alleged relationship with Tiny. She and a friend attended Mayweather’s party in Las Vegas over Memorial Day Weekend, and she later posted a photo on Instagram with Mayweather, which prompted T.I. to confront him for a second time.
Mayweather later apologized to Tiny for calling her a “b—ch,” telling NecoleBitchie, “Only person I wanna apologize towards is Tiny. I said something like ‘control your b-tch’ and I don’t want to say that about Tiny. So I do apologize to Tiny because she cool people, man. She cool. She never been disrespectful to me…So I apologize for that.” But it seems the damage has already been done, as Tiny wanted nothing to do with Mayweather at the awards show.
