The new “Fifty Shades of Grey” star is Jamie Dornan. He replaced Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling erotic novel, it was revealed Wednesday. Dornan's good looks and easy-going demeanor reportedly helped him win the coveted role, and the casting news has excited celebrity fans and prompted them to take to Twitter.

"The audition process was an embarrassment of riches,” a source told celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. “There were some fierce performances!"

But Dornan’s chiseled looks alone did not land him the coveted role, according to Hilton’s insiders. It was his positivity!

"Jamie has a really good reputation as someone easy to work with, easy-going, and is seen as someone who will very appreciative of this role. It's his charm and personality that is winning people over."

“Once Upon A Time’s” Huntsman must have laid the charm on pretty thick. According to “Fifty Shades” producer Michael De Luca, co-star Dakota Johnson, who will play Anastasia Steele in the film, had a hand at picking her leading man.

Unlike when it was announced that Hunnam had won the role on Sept. 2, "Fifty Shades" fans were generally pleased to see Dornan join the cast, and even some celebrities took to social media sites like Twitter to express their delight.
