'50 Shades Of Grey’ Movie Cast Rumors: Cara Delevingne Reportedly Auditions For Role; Who Could She Play?

Cara Delevingne may only be 20 years old, but she’s quickly making a name for herself in the entertainment industry. The gorgeous blonde model has reportedly auditioned for a small role in the highly anticipated “50 Shades Of Grey” movie … and director Sam Taylor-Johnson is rumored to want her in the film.

A source close to the model told The Sun that Delevingne has auditioned for “50 Shades Of Grey” and “is a front-runner for a part.” The former face of Burberry had a small role in 2012’s “Anna Karenina,” and is reportedly “desperate” to get the kinky “50 Shades” gig.

While a lot of actresses have had their names thrown into the mix for the coveted role of the innocent Anastasia Steele, Delevingne is said to be looking for a secondary part – and is closer to casting than most. During “Anna Karenina,” she worked alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson … the husband of “50 Shades Of Grey” director Sam Taylor-Johnson. The insider dished that Sam Taylor-Johnson “wants her in the movie” for a “decent role” – but exactly what part is a bit of a mystery right now. Check out a couple roles that Cara Delevingne could be cast in:

Kate Kavanagh – Kate is Anastasia’s best friend and roommate. Kate was initially supposed to interview Christian Grey for the school newspaper, but became sick and made Anastasia cover for her.

Mia Grey – Mia is Christian Grey’s adopted sister. She’s very outgoing and strikes up a friendship with Anastasia.

Leila Williams – Leila was a former submissive of Christian Grey. Having a mental breakdown, she stalks Anastasia and Christian.

Ella – Ella is the biological mother of Christian Grey. The character of Ella was only visited through flashbacks in the “50 Shades Of Grey” books. Christian’s mother was a drug addict and prostitute, and committed suicide when he was four.

“Fifty Shades Of Grey” hits theaters on Aug. 1, 2014. No official casting announcements have been made.
