Could Devin Paisley be cast to play Christian Grey in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film? Rumors are endless when it comes to the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie cast, and as fans tire of typical candidates such as Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill, more unlikely suggestions to play kinky Christian Grey have emerged. Beautiful South African model Paisley is the latest gorgeous man to be named as a possible candidate to play the Seattle billionaire.

The film is slated to hit theaters Aug. 1, 2014, and, with no official cast announcement, fans can’t help but speculate who will play the leading roles in E.L James’ New York Times best-selling novel. So how did Paisley’s name get thrown into the mix?

According to MStars News, the handsome dirty blonde gained attention from “Fifty Shades” fans after appearing as Kellan Kyle in a mock YouTube trailer for S.C. Stephens’ sexy novel “Thoughtless.”

The fact that Paisley is relatively unknown in Hollywood -- because he hasn’t done any professional acting -- is an added bonus for the Cape Town native due to the fact author James has said the actor who gets the role of Grey won’t be an A-list celebrity. When it comes to Grey, Paisley certainly has the right appearance except for his blond locks, which can be dyed. MStars News reported the model has worked for fashion lines such as AlanRed, Esprit, Humor and Jean Paul Sports.

Among other “Fifty Shades” rumors, “Anna Karenina” star Cara Delevingne was named as a potential front-runner for the part of Anastasia Steele, but Marie Claire wrote that even though she may not be playing Ana she might land a role as another character in the film.

“Cara is a front-runner for a part. She’s desperate to get the gig and has always said that she wanted to be taken seriously as an actress. [Cara] is a global icon now and a good actress as well and Sam wants her in the movie - though which part exactly hasn’t been established,” an insider told the magazine. “[Cara’s] agent has also been talking to Kelly Marcel, the screenplay writer. And, if needs be, a strong role will be written in for her.”
