‘50 Shades Of Grey’ Star Jamie Dornan Talks Fame, Dating Kiera Knightley

Since it was announced that Jamie Dornan would be playing Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the 31-year-old Northern Irish hunk has been making more than his fair share of headlines. Seriously, it’s like Dornan mania out there. From covering the front pages of our favorite magazines to having his face plastered in nearly every advertisement we see, this Belfast beauty must be experiencing a shock due to all the attention.

Prior to landing the coveted gig, Dornan was known for his work in “Once Upon a Time,” “Marie Antoinette” and “The Fall.” But it wasn’t until E.L. James’ erotic book was brought to life that Dornan’s Twitter followers began to spike. Currently, the actor is at a whopping 215,000 followers who hang onto his every character. That said, we wonder if he was prepared for the massive fan base that comes with tying Dakota Johnson up on set.

According to reports, Dornan was somewhat prepared for all the attention from his relationship with Keira Knightley. The adorable couple dated from 2003 to 2005, which was the year of Knightley’s hit flick, “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.”

“I don’t think I’m ever going to be as famous as her,” Dornan confessed to ES Magazine. “It’s a strange environment, being hounded. It’s really hideous. The paparazzi are cretins. There are so many ways to make a living that don’t involve hiding in bushes outside the houses of 18-year-old girls.”
