60-Year-Old Florida Man Paid Minor Girl For Sex, Had Child Porn

A 60-year-old Sunrise, Florida, man was arrested Monday for having sex with minor girls for years and possessing child pornography.

According to the arrest report, police received a tip in January 2019 that a 17-year-old girl, who was reported missing, was in contact with the accused, Neil Greenberg, via Facebook. The messages between the two revealed they had been dating and Greenberg had been paying the girl for sex.

“It is apparent the teen and Greenberg know each other and Greenberg has paid for commercial sex acts from the teen in the past,” the investigator wrote in the report.

In one of the chats, the unidentified girl asked Greenberg to pay her phone bill in exchange for a “session.” The girl also called him out for having unprotected sex with her sister, whose age was not known.

“It lasted less then [sic] a minute. I took special medication. And I’ve been tested twice since then,” Greenberg replied, the Miami Herald reported.

In February, Broward County sheriff's deputies searched Greenberg’s home and found a memory card in his bedroom closet. The card had two folders containing videos of the accused having sex with minor girl. While one of the folders had 28 videos of Greenberg having sex with a 16-year-old girl, the other contained eight videos that showed him having sex with another underage girl. The videos were shot between 2012 and 2017.

The memory card also had a text file stating, "These video are kept here for the sole purpose that they may contain evidentiary value for me because of dialogue contained may prove useful. Since learning of (redacted)'s true age. I decided it would be better if I did not delete them but instead put them offline where I could get them if it ever became necessary.”

He also wrote that he did not "knowingly" have sex with the minor girls.

"I have long maintained that I enjoy the company of young ladies, but 18 year old or older is just fine with me. They do not need to be any younger than that. I would gladly take a polygraph if necessary,” he wrote, ABC-affiliated television station WPLG reported.

During investigation, officials found that Greenberg also operated a website that connected men with prostitutes. The investigators then interviewed the 17-year-old girl who told them she met the accused through her sister two years ago.

“Over the course of two years, the teen engaged in about 20 ‘sessions’ with Greenberg. Six to eight of the sessions were recorded by Greenberg with a camera,” the investigator wrote in the report, adding that the accused paid $200-300 each time, and that these incident mostly happened at his home.

Greenberg was taken into custody Monday and charged with more than 70 counts of possession of child pornography and promoting sexual performance by a child. He was held at Broward County's Main Jail on a $1 million bond.
