Lamborghini introduces its first step toward hybridization and electrification. Sián, a hybrid electric car, so highly anticipated that it is already sold out even before launch.

Lamborghini announced on Tuesday that it is working on its most powerful car ever. Sián, a Bolognese word which means flash or lightning is the company’s first hybrid gas-electric powertrain model.

Performance

Lamborghini’s Sián will come with a 48-volt electric motor delivering 34 horsepower that when combined with the 785 horsepower V12 engine reaches up to 819 horsepower. The most powerful car has a top speed of 217mph and can accelerate to 62 mph in under 2.8 seconds.

Since Sián has an electric motor, it is very user-friendly to movements such as reversing and parking. The low-speed maneuvers are easier with the presence of the electric motor, a part of the gearbox providing the car with better performance and quick response.

Sián, outperforms Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, it's almost identical in performance sibling having the same V12 engine. The electric motor is what makes Sián different from its predecessor, not to mention the improvements it possesses making room for the storage of ten times the SVJ power.

Lamborghini is launching only 63 units of Sián in honor of the year of Automobili Lamborghini that was 1963. As of this writing, all of the 63 Sián units were sold.

Appearance

Owners are now in talks with Lamborghini Centro Stile and Lamborghini Ad Personam, the automaker's design studio, and program. All of the 63 sold out before launch Sián hybrid gas-electric cars will be freely designed and customized by the owners in collaboration with the design and studio program.

"Not only does the Sián deliver a formidable hyper-car design and engineering tour de force today,” “said Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman, and CEO. Domenicali further added that it augments the potential for Lamborghini as a super sports car brand for tomorrow and for decades to come, even as hybridization becomes more desirable and inevitably essential."

The 63 Lamborghini Sián, hybrid gas-electric powertrain model will be showcased at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show 2019. The show runs for 10 days from September 14 to 24.
