7 Celebrities Who Slammed Donald Trump After Pulling Out Of Paris Agreement
Celebrities have not held back their disdain for President Donald Trump and after the commander-in-chief announced the United States would withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, many took to social media to slam him.
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke tweeted a link to a Mother Jones article, calling Trump a “clown.” But Yorke wasn’t the only celeb to voice his anger. Celebrities such as John Legend, Questlove, Billie Joe Armstrong and Michael Moore all made their voices heard. Check out some of their tweets below:
Rosie O’Donnell
A longtime nemesis of Trump, Rosie O’Donnell took to Twitter on Thursday to call for the firing of Scott Pruitt. “Fire Scott Pruitt - EPA Head,” she tweeted, adding that this was “insane.”
John Legend
An always vocal opponent of Trump, singer John Legend took to Twitter on Thursday, tweeting, “Trump is our national embarrassment.” The singer also added said we need to stop Trump. “This is urgent,” he wrote, “You have to vote in 2018.”

Michael Moore
The director of “Michael Moore in TrumpLand” had a strongly worded tweet for Trump, writing, “Trump just committed a crime against humanity. This admitted predator has now expanded his predatory acts to the entire planet. #ParisAccord.”
Jack Antonoff
The lead singer of Bleachers and member of fun. kept his tweet bipartisan, writing, “Dem or republican this climate issue is awful. Trump is truly an idiot that is harming all of us.”
Questlove
The Roots drummer took to Instagram to voice his thoughts, posting a photo of the New York City skyline. “So good to see all the green lights protesting in solidarity. #Resist #ParisAgreement,” he wrote.
Billie Joe Armstrong
Like Questlove, the Green Day frontman took to Instagram and posted a lengthy note directed at Trump. “The future of planet is in more danger now than ever,” he wrote. “Your lies and rhetoric are making the world toxic and unsafe. Now the human race is officially an endangered species.”
He continued, “You will now officially go down as truly the worst president in the history of the united states. You are unqualified. You are a bigoted... reality star that has made america a joke to the rest of the world. I hate your guts. And mark my words, we are going to take you down.”
On Thursday, the president announced his intentions to “begin negotiations to re-enter either the Paris accord or really entirely new transaction on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers.”
He added, “On these issues and so many more, we’re following through on our commitments and I don’t want anything to get in our way. I am fighting every day for the great people of this country. In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord.”
Former President Barack Obama also criticized the move, saying, “But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got.”
