Marlena Is Kidnapped
She was targeted by her doppelganger as part of a bizarre plot for revenge against Andre (Thaao Penghlis), and now, Marlena (Deirdre Hall) has found herself in a seemingly impossible situation thanks to Hattie (also Hall). To succeed with her twisted plot, which involves taking over all aspects of Marlena’s life, Hattie drugged her and had her committed to an institution and confined in a straight jacket, pretending that Marlena was Hattie. Now, Marlena is trapped and Hattie is on the loose and ready to cause mischief.
Chad Admits His Love For Abigail
After she literally risked her life for his own by throwing herself in front of a car, Chad (Billy Flynn) realized that despite appearances, Abigail (Marci Miller) was still very much in love with him. As the fight went on to save her life following the horrific accident, he also learned that her marriage to Dario (Jordi Villasousa) was for Green Card purposes only, and that she was planning to leave Salem to protect him, after Dario threatened to turn a photo that appeared to show Chad murdering Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) in to the police. Now, as he waits for Abigail to wake up after surgery, Chad has admitted he loves her—much to Gabi’s (Camila Banus) chagrin.
Tripp Officially Snaps On Kayla
He has been after revenge for his mother’s death, unaware he was focusing on the wrong target. Despite some guilt over potentially destroying Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) career, Tripp (Lucas Adams) became enraged again after she was reinstated at the hospital. Now, violence is on his mind as he sets out to make her pay for the crime he believes she committed, and he’s holding her hostage, and threatening to harm her with a scalpel, as a horrified Steve (Stephen Nichols) watches.

Lily Kicks Cane Out
After dealing with his cheating on her and getting another woman pregnant, Lily (Christel Khalil) finally reached her breaking point with Cane (Daniel Goddard) after learning how he was the one who sabotaged the hockey deal for Brash and Sassy. After learning what he did, and realizing that the money he claimed he took from their kids’ school accounts was actually to pay off his blackmailer, Lily decided he had crossed the line completely, and kicked him out of the house as a result.
Mariah Kisses Tessa
She has found what seems like a too good to be true romance with Devon (Bryton James), and sure enough, it may be the case for Mariah (Camryn Grimes), who now appears to be questioning her sexuality completely. After a trip to San Francisco with her boyfriend, as well as Noah (Robert Adamson) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), Mariah expressed that she was unsure of some things, and when Tessa vowed to support her, Mariah went for it and kissed the other girl on the lips. They have since sworn it was a mistake, but it may still be enough to lead them both to question where their hearts actually lie.

Eric Tells Quinn He Wants A Divorce
After keeping himself distant from her for weeks, Eric (John McCook) finally informed Quinn (Rena Sofer) about what he wanted from their marriage following her affair with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Instead of working on things, he simply wants out, and has begun the process of filing for divorce—something Quinn is having a hard time understanding, and she’s now attempting to find any way she possibly can to convince him to rethink the decision.
Things Heat Up For Katie And Wyatt
While Eric and Quinn’s marriage is falling apart, Quinn’s son, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) seems to finally be moving on from his heartbreaking divorce from Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). After working closely with Katie (Heather Tom) on the Spectra vs. Forrester Swimsuit Showdown in Monaco, the two were blown away when they learned the event raised over $1 million for charity—and as they celebrated, they shared a passionate kiss. More kisses quickly followed, and now, Wyatt seems intent on exploring things a lot further with Katie as a result.
