70-Year-Old Man Allegedly Impregnates 13-Year-Old, Says It Was 'Consensual'

A 70-year-old man in Florida is in a lot of trouble. He is not only facing three counts of sexual activity with a child but also one count of impregnating a child. The victim is 13-years-old.

Renaud Jerome, who lives in Boca Raton, told police after he was arrested that she "was interested in him more than he was interested in her and never forced her to do anything.” Jermome added "that within the last couple of months he has had consensual vaginal intercourse with [redacted] three times,” police said.

The girl showed up at North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach around 11 a.m. last Friday complaining of constipation and after tests were taken, it was determined she was 14-weeks pregnant, reports Miami Herald. Doctors called the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

When spoken to by police, the 13-year-old said Jerome “would touch her and have sex with her." Police also indicated that the two appear to live in the same home, but it's unclear what their relationship is and who else lives there.

Jerome is being held in a Palm Beach County Jail with no bond.
