‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Premiere: Here’s How You Know The Cast
Following the success of “9-1-1,” FOX is expanding on the franchise with its newest series, “9-1-1: Lone Star,” and fans may be surprised with just how well they know the actors bringing the new drama series’ characters to the small screen.
Following the success of “9-1-1,” which premiered in 2018 and told the stories of first responders in Los Angeles, FOX decided to build on the franchise with a new setting and some new faces with “9-1-1: Lone Star.” The show follows the same concept as its predecessor, with a synopsis stating that “a sophisticated New York cop, along with his son, relocates to Austin and must try to balance the duties of saving those who are at their most vulnerable and solving problems in his own life.”
Also similar to the original show, “Lone Star” is no stranger to bringing in an impressive cast. Check out the stars of this new series below.
Natacha Karam as Marjan Marwani
Karam is best known for her work as Jasmine “Jaz” Khan on NBC’s “The Brave,” where she portrayed the role from 2017-2018.
Rob Lowe as Owen Strand
Lowe, who is not just the lead on the show but also serves as an executive producer, is one of Hollywood’s more recognizable faces and has had roles in a slew of movies and television shows over the years. Fans may know him from “The West Wing,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “The Grinder” or “Code Black,” but he may best be known as Chris Traeger from “Parks and Recreation.” He also recently starred in the Netflix film “Holiday in the Wild” in 2019.
Sierra Aylina McClain as Grace Ryder
McClain may best be known as Ness Parker on “Empire,” but some may recognize her as well from her role as Tanya Clifton on “Mindhunter.”
Jim Parrack as Judd Ryder
Parrack has acted in a slew of roles in short films and other projects over the years, but fans likely know him best as Hoyt Fortenberry—the character he portrayed on HBO’s “True Blood” from 2008-2014.
Ronen Rubinstein as TK Strand
Starring as Lowe’s character’s son, Rubinstein may best be known for his roles as Lincoln Taggert in “Some Kind of Hate,” Dante in “Condemned” and Alex Powell in “Dead of Summer.”
Liv Tyler as Michelle Blake
While some know Tyler best as Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler’s daughter, she has made a name for herself all on her own in Hollywood. She portrayed Grace Stamper in 1998’s “Armageddon” and found a fanbase when she starred as Arwen in the “Lord of the Rings” movie trilogy. Since then, other notable roles have included Meg Abbott in “The Leftovers,” and more recently, Eve in the film “Ad Astra.”
“9-1-1: Lone Star” premiere Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. EST.
