‘90 Day Fiancé’ Spinoff Spoilers: What’s Jon’s Relationship With Rachel’s Eldest Daughter?
Following the Sunday night episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” Season 2, cast member Jon Walters answered a fan who was curious about his relationship with Rachel Bear’s other daughter.
After falling in love online, Rachel and her youngest daughter, Lucy, flew to England to meet her boyfriend, Jon, for the first time. However, before Rachel returned back to the US, Jon let his girlfriend know just how serious he was about spending their lives together and proposed.
Despite their engagement, they realized living together will be quite a challenge since Jon has a criminal record that previously prevented him from entering the US. Unfortunately, Rachel can’t move to the UK because she shares custody of her eldest daughter with her ex-husband.
“90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” Season 2, episode 8 documented the couple as they spoke to an immigration lawyer about Jon’s chances of gaining entry into the US. The two decided it was best to get married, but Rachel revealed her eldest wouldn’t make her wedding in the UK because her ex wouldn’t allow her to take the child out of the country.
On Monday, Jon responded to a fan in the comment section of an Instagram photo who wanted to know more about his relationship with Rachel’s other daughter. “Rachel and I falling love with each other was easy, and me love this remarkable blessing Lucy was easy too but we both knew 2 years ago my relationship with her eldest daughter needed the right foundation and effort to grown organically, [sic]” he explained.
Rachel previously revealed the biological father of her oldest doesn’t really want their child involved in the reality show, which is why fans may have noticed the girl’s face was blurred anytime she appeared on the latest episode of the TLC series.
However, Lucy’s father is not involved in her life, which is why the baby girl has been front and center during Rachel and Jon’s storyline. After visiting Jon in England, Lucy even began to call her mother’s fiancé, “Dada.”
While Jon appears to have formed a genuine bond with Lucy, his relationship with Rachel’s other daughter is moving at a much slower rate. “Rachel has introduced me at the right pace. She is an incredible little lady who I’m now fortunately to have a fantastic relationship with her daughter. She likes me alot and I absolutely adore her, [sic]” he wrote.
Although he is forming a bond with Rachel’s oldest, he made it clear that his presence in her life won’t overstep her father’s role. “Her father is fully involved and my relationships with her will be different from that of Lucy’s and she absolutely gets it,” he added.
Even though his relationship with both girls may be going well, Jon may find himself in some hot water when Rachel returns to England in episode 9 and begins to question whether her fiancé has been faithful throughout their long-distance relationship.
“90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” Season 2 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
