'90 Day Fiancé': Sumit Shocks 64-year-old Jenny With His Desire To Have Kids
The latest episode of "90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?" saw Sumit Singh telling his 64-year-old wife, Jenny Slatten of his wish to become a father by the time he turns 35.
Singh, 33, and Slatten reportedly had an agreement a decade ago that they wouldn't have kids together.
"I will be 35 by [sic] two years, and maybe I'll start thinking about having kids," Singh told Slatten. "We might adopt someone by 35, then I want to have them in India."
Following the conversation, Slatten said in a confessional that Singh wants to have children for the sake of his family. "Once again, Sumit will do anything to make his parents happy, it doesn't seem like anything has changed," she said. "Family is always going to be a priority, basically, always, over me."
Singh's shared his wish to have children after Slatten revealed last week that she wants to go back to America in front of Singh's parents. She also disclosed that she had already spoken to the lawyer to secure Singh's visa, which made him upset as Slatten had agreed to live in India at the time of getting married.
The couple got married in 2021 after dating for 10 years. Slatten already has three daughters with her ex-husband.
In the latest episode's confessional, Singh and Slatten admitted separately that they wouldn't have married in the first place if they had known of their different choices on having kids and where they will be living.
"I thought Sumit was enjoying our married lifestyle but now Sumit's trying to change everything up," she said. "After everything that we've been through -- I mean, everything -- I never thought that we wouldn't be on the same path."
She added, "We've fought so hard, it's been too long. Did we do the right thing getting married? Because if this is what Sumit wants his future to look like then I don't really want to be part of it."
Singh and Slatten previously appeared on the TLC's reality show, "90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way" from 2019 to 2021.
