Over the summer, “90 Day Fiancé” star Ashley Martson announced she was quitting the reality series. However, she hasn’t forgotten how her life has changed since the show.

On Sunday, Ashley took to Instagram to share an emotional post about the past year, and her marriage to Jay Smith. The reality star also held a Q&A session on Instagram, where she responded to questions from fans.

During the conversation, Ashley revealed that Jay had a great relationship with her kids despite their strained marriage. Although Ashley’s kids didn’t appear on the show, one fan asked whether her kids had a relationship with Jay.

“Yes, every day. He was great with them,” she replied along with photos of Jay bonding with her kids.

Ashley’s praise of Jay comes after she shared a photo of herself crying along with a lengthy message. “I just want men and women to both know it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to cry it out. It’s okay to not be strong all the time. It’s okay to fail. What’s not okay is to let it destroy you. You can, and you will get back up and begin to pick up the pieces,” she wrote.

“To this day, I still hurt. I still love him. I just have come to terms with the fact it’s over, and I’m gonna be okay. So all of you who are struggling, please know these feelings are temporary, and you will get back to yourself. Time truly does heal wounds. There is no more Ashley and Jay,” she added.

Ashley insisted she was ready to move on from the past. “I’m leaving this post with the final time I speak on us or our marriage. It’s about to be a new year, and I’m ready to start a new chapter and not look back,” she wrote.

For now, fans can catch “90 Day Fiancé” Season 7 Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
