'911' Season 3, Episode 15 Preview: Thrilling Rescue

“9-1-1” Season 3, episode 15 will be about a thrilling rescue of a boy trapped in a well. It will also be about Eddie’s (Ryan Guzman) journey as he faces his past to get over a traumatic event.

A preview video of the next episode has been released online and it shows Athena (Angela Bassett) discussing the case to be about a missing boy. The team will assure the concerned mother that they will find her son. The team will keep their promise and find the boy, but the rescue will not be an easy one.

The boy will be found trapped inside a small well. The fire fighters will be in a race against time to help bring the boy out safely because he may not last long in that confined space. One of them will have to go in through a different hole and then bring the boy out while his mother will try to keep him calm by constantly speaking to him.

According to the plot synopsis of “9-1-1” Season 3, episode 15 the rescue mission will turn into a journey for Eddie. The former soldier will have to confront his past trauma, and he will have to fight to not only try and rescue the boy but also save himself in the process.

Preview stills of the next episode tease a flashback sequence that shows Eddie from the time when he was a soldier. Eddie was deployed for multiple missions in Afghanistan before he became a fire fighter. Memories of the battle, which include pulling out a soldier from a burning helicopter, will come rushing back to him.

Eddie’s journey comes right after Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) faced a group of terrorists in the previous episode. In a recent interview with TV Line, Hewitt pointed out that this is the second time in two years that her character has found herself in a hostage situation. The character has been through a lot, but Hewitt said that Maddie is finding her safety in Chimney (Kenneth Choi) and the “tribe of people she’s putting together.”

“9-1-1” Season 3, episode 15 is titled “Eddie begins.” It will air on April 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
